Adlib recently announced that our President and CEO, Peter Duff, was elected to the PDF Association’s Board of Directors. As an organization, we’re incredibly proud to be part of an association that is dedicated to the promotion, adoption and implementation of international standards for PDF technology.

We’ve been a member of the PDF Association for many years now, contributing to discussions on standards, participating in industry conferences, and speaking at technical events. As the organization increases its focus on the North American market, we felt the timing was perfect to get more closely involved. It’s truly an honour to be able to have such a close connection to the association.

Bringing the business benefits of PDF to the forefront

The PDF Association has done a lot of important work in bringing attention to PDF as an ISO standard, and preaching its technical importance across industries. Peter will also be focusing on the importance of PDF as an ISO standard, but in addition will be bringing the business benefits of PDF to the forefront. After all, there is a lot an organization can gain by using the PDF.

When it comes to improving business efficiency, the PDF format is one that can truly help organizations to streamline their business process. The PDF is also a regulated archiving format, and can help organizations to meet compliance guidelines put forth by regulatory bodies. All in all, it’s a file format that does more than just hold content – it gives content business value, it helps organizations to mitigate risk, and it increases overall efficiency across the enterprise.

By being part of the PDF Association’s Board of Directors, Peter will have a platform to inform enterprise organizations in North America – and in the rest of the world – about the business benefits of standardizing on PDF, and the technical benefits that come with it being an ISO standard.
