January is a time for renewal, rebirth and promising myself that I will go to the gym every single day in the coming year. I might not be able to keep my promise on that last part, but I’ve been working hard on the first two with the team at Adlib.
I’m very excited to announce the launch of Adlib 5.1 today! This release includes a number of new features for our customers and partners:
New EMC Documentum connector, which supports Content Server v7.0, DFC v6.0-7.0, D2 user interface v4.0-4.1 and all standard web-based applications such as Webtop and Documentum Administrator.
New IBM FileNet connector, which adds transformation menu items for the Content Navigator user interface, as well as support to transform compound documents, allowing users to merge multiple documents into a single pdf. This release supports IBM FileNet P8 v4.5-5.2, Workplace v4.0.2, Workplace XT v1.1.4 and Content Navigator v2.0.2.
New 2D CAD engine, which supports a number of new file types such as CATIA v4-v6 and Pro/E Wildfire. It includes improved rendering quality, and updated support for the latest CAD file format versions for AutoCAD 2013, Inventor 2014, Microstation 8.9, SolidWorks 2013 and NX Unigraphics v8.
Added OCR support for simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean character sets, bringing our total to over 115 languages currently supported, leveraging Adlib’s high-fidelity conversion to optimize industry-leading Nuance technology.
The 5.1 launch focuses on Adlib’s alignment with two of the leading ECM vendors, making it easier for our customers to incorporate Advanced Rendering into their enterprise. We’re working hard to educate and inform our Partners and Customers about the new features in 5.1 through emails, conference calls and social media.
While new software releases bring new features and benefits, we at Adlib understand that they require a certain amount of back-end IT preparation. If you’re thinking about when to upgrade your software, now is a great time! We’re currently offering Adlib PDF 5.0 licenses at Adlib Express 4.x prices until February 28th, 2014. For details regarding product lifecycles refer to the Adlib Maintenance Policy. Whether you have questions aboutconnectors, CAD or character recognition, our Customer Success and Partner teams are waiting to help you make the upgrade to 5.1. We’re ready for whatever questions you throw our way.
Happy new year from all of us at Adlib, and we hope you enjoy Adlib 5.1 as much as we do!
