Ultimately, the goal of Adlib PDF is to help organizations increase the efficiency of their document-centric business processes. However, what those processes are can vary greatly from industry to industry, and even from organization to organization. That’s why we think it’s important to share a variety of use cases with our customers, so they can be aware of how the product is being utilized in other companies. Who knows – reading a use case just might spark an idea for how you can save your own organization precious time and money.

Automating processes in financial services

One of our customers in the financial services industry was looking for a way to automate a time-consuming and expensive manual process. They had scores of Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) files which they needed to convert to PDF, archive and make searchable. In addition, they needed to do this from within their EMC Documentum system.

Adlib PDF integrates directly with EMC Documentum in order to provide high-fidelity rendering from directly within the Enterprise Content Management system. Adlib was able to automate this financial service organization’s tedious manual process, so that their AFP files could be automatically converted to PDF, archived, and made searchable using Optical Character Recognition technology. Read the use case to learn the whole story.
