PDF in the Desert – Adlib Attends SharePoint Conference 2012 in Las Vegas

By Riley O'Brien Wolff | November 26, 2012

Approximately 14,000 people came to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas November 11-15 for SharePoint Conference 2012.

Sunday opened with a welcome reception in the Expo Hall, which was open for several hours each day of the conference. It was clear there were numerous attendees from every imaginable industry, and many from locations outside of North America.

As a Microsoft ISV Gold partner who has already developed a SharePoint 2013 app, we were excited to learn that our app was demoed in the SharePoint kiosk in the Microsoft area of the expo hall, and in several of the event sessions. It was great to hear those visiting our booth say that they had already seen our app!

The Adlib team fielded many questions about Adlib PDF Enterprise from current and prospective customers and partners. Trending areas of interest included how Adlib helps enable end users with mobile devices, and how Adlib solutions leverage meta-data to automate document transformation.

To keep things fun, we had a “Bike for a Smoothie” promotion in our booth. Those who wanted a smoothie were able to ride a stationary bike, which powered a blender, rendering up delicious concoctions named Chocolate Peanut Butter Transformation, One Thing Berry Berry Well, and Adlib on the Beach.

Outside of the Expo Hall, the fun continued with a Microsoft SharePoint team member DJing at the LAX nightclub on Monday, a performance by Jon Bon Jovi on Tuesday night, and the recurring appearance of someone impersonating Gangnam Style singer PSY.

In between all the fun, there were great sessions on SharePoint 2013, the SharePoint Marketplace, how to develop apps for SharePoint, and more.
