Things have really taken off at our partner QUMAS in the last year, which was evident at this year’s QUMAS Connect 2012 event ending today.
Adlib was a Platinum sponsor, and I also had a speaking slot to help QUMAS' life sciences customers understand the additional value that
Adlib document-to-PDF transformation software can
bring to their implementations.
The key concepts for the show were Cloud, SharePoint and Mobile. Qumas now has DocCompliance available in the cloud, which was received quite well by the customer base attending this year’s conference.
Their SharePoint product, ComplianceSP, has also hit the ground running as customers are excited to leverage the DocCompliance functionality within SharePoint. Heading into the mobile space is the natural evolution of the product sets as customer demands continue to increase for it.
For Adlib, it was a great opportunity to share our expertise in PDF, PDF/A and CAD rendering and how these pieces can enhance the QUMAS implementation of Adlib Express.
The PDF/A standard was a great discussion topic as people do want to move away from paper-based archiving but aren't sure which way to go. PDF/A is a great alternative to TIFF-based archiving because of the search ability. Being able to archive your documents and get them back easily would help a number of organizations.
Oh, and thank you, Fort Lauderdale, FL for keeping the weather great for us this week at QUMAS Connect 2012!
