IBM IOD 2011 I am at IBM Information on Demand (IOD) 2011 with Rupin Mago, Strategic  Alliances Manager for Adlib, and we are busy talking with lots of folks about PDF rendering with their FileNet P8 ECM system.

Some highlights of the show so far include:

  • IBM has introduced the IBM Content and Predictive Analytics for Healthcare package that uses analytics and Watson – the IBM Natural Language Processing technology that was on the TV game show Jeopardy. IBM says their new analytics package could significantly reduce healthcare costs; one way would be to improve patient diagnostics so that repeat visits are reduced.
  • IBM is moving their solutions so they are “repository agnostic.” This means that their solutions will be able to run on top of other vendor repositories such as SharePoint.
  • IBM is working on a new User Interface that will release in 2012, that will be able to seamless use content from their FileNet P8, Content Manager CM8 and OnDemand OD repositories as well as  other vendor repositories such as Sharepoint. The interface is built on HTML5, CSS and JavaScript and is therefore supported by all devices e.g. Ipad, Android, etc.

I'm back to the show and conference...
