The power of social media was once again driven home for us at Adlib (and we are enthusiastic participants ourselves on LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and Twitter) when I came across a post this week by a business person on the LinkedIn Group, SharePoint 2007 and 2010.
Louis-Philippe Lavoie, Senior SharePoint Architect, Groupe GSoft Inc. in Montreal, wrote in the group’s discussion area:
Adlib does a superb job of producing PDF/a only documents on demand. Most other small tools (even Adobe’s own PDF Printer) don’t even mention it.
Both myself and Louis-Philippe were responding to a question posted by Greg Raymond, SharePoint Administrator at Linc Energy in Brisbane, Australia, who asked:
“Does anyone use PDF/a. We are considering using it for document retention within SharePoint and I’m wondering what the community thinks.”
What about you? What do you think of using PDF/A for document retention within SharePoint?
