Our Quest in The Ride to Conquer Cancer

June 11-12, 2016

About The Ride

The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer® is a unique, two-day cycling event to take place on June 11-12, 2016, journeying over 200k or 200 miles through beautiful southern Ontario. The Ride is a relatively new endeavour to Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime. The money raised for The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. The Princess Margaret has assembled a team of top doctors and scientists whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in our community, across Canada, and around the world.

Funds raised through The Ride support Personalized Cancer Medicine, including research, treatment advances, education and new standards of care at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Why We’re Riding

We all have our own personal reasons for helping to raise funds for cancer research and improving the lives of people living with cancer. Adlib’s team wants to participate in helping to make our community stronger by supporting research and challenging ourselves personally at the same time. We believe research must continue to make the lives of those living with cancer better and that as a team, we CAN make a difference.

64% of cancer patients survive their disease for 5 years or more.

There are almost 1 million cancer survivors in Canada leading quality lives.

What We’re Doing

We are fundraising at Adlib and have organized several events in house to help the team reach their financial goals by organizing on-going 50/50 draws, silent auction, BBQ, poker and badminton tournaments, bake sales & kitchen snack collections. Last year we raised approximately $50,000 for Team Adlib from this event.
