Synopsis Thomas Elsasser implemented Adlib's ExpressConversion Server and ExpressRecognition Server OCR technology at Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease LLP. In regards to this solution, he noted the following functionalities as key features: - OCR non-searchable files
- Establish an Inbox/Outbox directory share from which PDFs can be dropped into for automated processing
- Run on Windows 2000 server as a true Windows Service
- Monitor an email queue for files, remove attachments, OCR, and return to sender
- Convert and OCR various file types into PDF documents automatically, including TIFF and JPEG
- Apply a number of settings to documents during conversion, including PDF security, headers, footers, watermarks and overlays
- Split multiple page PDFs into single page PDFs 'or' single page TIFFs
- Available API and accessible via .net development platform
- Web based interface for submission of files for conversion via our Intranet (and potentially our extranet)
