Optical Character Recognition (OCR): Alchemy in Action

In previous generations, turning something ordinary into something valuable was considered magical, even miraculous. Academic Medical Center (AMC)
Accelerating the speed and security of a patient record workflow

Academic Medical Center (AMC) is Holland’s premier medical center and one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals. Frank Manshande of AMC’s Project Services and Integration Group was tasked to research tools available on the market to integrate with their current electronic patient records application. Their needs were not overly complex but Frank had some concern that most of the box applications would either give them too much unnecessary and expensive functionality or they would require costly customization.
