Adlib Software's ExpressConversion Server converts hundreds of file formats to PDF and Text including office, image, graphic, web, engineering and legacy files. Express will use one of three methods to convert file types:
1. Integrated File Type Support (IFTS)
Express can convert the format without requiring any third party software being present.
2. Native Application Support (NAS)
Where supported, this is the recommended document conversion method as it creates the best results. This method requires that the file's native application reside on the same server as Express.
Note: Some formats (e.g. Engineering formats like DWG) may require a third party application be present to enable conversion. Contact us for more information.
3. Extended File Type Support (EFTS)
Provides comprehensive file type support thus enabling conversion without the presence of the file's native application.
