Burlington, Ontario – May 19, 2008 – Adlib Software, an EMC Velocity Technology and ISV partner, has recently announced the release of Adlib ExpressRecognition Server 4.0, a server-based OCR text recognition application that seamlessly integrates with two EMC Documentum products -- Document Transformation Services and Advanced Document Transformation Services – both part of the EMC Documentum Content Transformation Services framework.
Adlib Software, considered a global leader in Document Rendering recently released Adlib ExpressRecognition Server 4.0 as part of its full complement of Document Transformation server applications. When contacted in his office just outside of Toronto, Canada, Scott Mackey, Adlib Software Product Manager, explained, “We’ve always had a very robust document transformation solution for departmental and enterprise document rendering needs. The main focus of our Express 4.0 release was to logically bundle groups of core functions into focused solutions. In this way, companies can adopt specific functionality rather than an entire application suite”. With the release of Express 4.0, Adlib Software now delivers a powerful OCR application that stands on its own to accurately render image documents to searchable PDF, Text, Word or HTML output. “We’ve spoken to many customers who have asked us for a dedicated OCR solution that allows them to extend the functionality of their Document Transformation Services and Advanced Document Transformation Services solutions so we know that Documentum customers will be extremely excited with this new release”, said Peter Duff, President and CEO of Adlib Software. “Not only do they now have access to one of the world’s best server-based OCR solutions but the solution also completely and seamlessly integrates with both Documentum products”. For Documentum customers, integrating the Adlib ExpressRecognition Server into their document workflows will be virtually effortless. Mackey went on to say, “Adlib ExpressRecognition Server is one of the most accurate and reliable server-based OCR engines around. Customers are encouraged to make ExpressRecognition Server part of all their document rendering workflows”. Mackey continued, “We’ve built the application to take advantage of 5 independent integration methods including Web services, which takes full advantage of our (SOA) Service Oriented Architecture”. Adlib Software takes pride in delivering enterprise class document transformation applications for companies needing high volume document conversion, OCR text recognition and publishing. For those customers that have document conversion needs outside of the EMC Documentum suite, they will want to consider Adlib Software’s Express Server suite of applications.
