We’ve just finished our first event in the SharePoint 2010 Solutions roadshow. Our seminar was held at a nice venue at the Microsoft research office in San Francisco; the classroom-style setting with tables and chairs, and wireless Internet access, kept everyone happy and tapping on their laptops.
There were about 40 attendees, representing a good mix of technical and business disciplines. The audience was in varying stages of SharePoint deployment – some had Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, some SharePoint 2010, and some were in the process of evaluating SharePoint. Organizations represented at the seminar included Wells Fargo, San Francisco State University, California utility company PG&E, retailer Cost Plus World Market, and Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals.

Aside from the registration list, I could tell it was a largely technical audience from casual chats throughout the day, such as the discussion some of us had about remote BLOBs during the lunch break!
Look for Adlib at many upcoming SharePoint 2010 Solutions seminars over the next couple of months – next week we are in LA, the following week in the Seattle and Washington, DC area, followed directly by appearances in Atlanta, Detroit and Toronto, then… whew!
