Adobe® Illustrator® and Photoshop® CS3 Support
Express 4.7 expands the already extensive support for the most popular file formats with the addition of Adobe Creative Suite 3. Now you can create accurate renderings of Illustrator and Photoshop CS3 files that maintain the file’s pixel dimensions and resolution of the originals and reduce the cost of additional software to view these files.
OCR Enhancements
Express 4.7 enhances the robustness of its OCR (Optical Character Recognition) capabilities when documents contain pages that are corrupt or exceed the maximum supported page size (28” x 28” or 8,400 x 8,400 pixels). Instead of rejecting the entire document and halting the workflow, Express retains the pages as non-searchable image files and continues to recognize the remainder of the document pages. The result is a completely rendered document where all pages except the problem page(s) are searchable. This enhancement reduces the time required to manually separate and process documents that contain problem pages.
Enhanced Print Output
Express 4.7 allows greater control over printing PDF documents without having to install third-party software. These include:
- Automatic selection of correct paper tray based on individual page size of the document being printed.
- Printing page range(s) on a job-specific basis.
- Specify a particular color profile for the print output on a job-specific basis.
- Supports enhanced legacy internal or legacy Adobe print options.
nUp PDF Rendering
The new nUp feature allows you to render 2 or more pages of the input document to each output PDF page. Now you can create “storyboard” documents for printing, review, or simply to save paper. Express 4.7 supports layouts of 2, 4, 6, 8, and 16 tiles with the pages automatically created in the best page orientation (portrait or landscape).
